A monitoring product can record answers; it does not necessarily implement website changes. Ask who will do the work, in which systems, and who approves it.
Ask for inspectable evidence
Request dated examples with exact questions, product settings, repeated runs, successful denominators and separate error counts. Ask whether the claimed result is readiness, an observed mention, a recommendation, a citation or actual qualified demand.
Website performance and traffic improvements can demonstrate delivery ability. They are not automatically GEO results. Confirm client permission and whether a case study describes the work being sold.
Compare scope, ownership and full cost
A useful proposal states setup work, monthly allowances, excluded services, minimum commitment, third-party costs and approval responsibilities. Compare the full initial commitment, not just a monthly headline price.
Keep control of your domain, website accounts, content and data. Agree handover, access removal, evidence exports and cancellation terms in writing. Ask how new markets, languages and extra pages are priced.
Warning signs worth challenging
Guaranteed ChatGPT rankings, unexplained visibility scores, fabricated testimonials and “secret AI schema” claims deserve scrutiny. A self-published best-agencies list is not independent validation.
Google says its AI search features do not require special schema or AI text files. Accurate, accessible content remains useful; schema is not a guarantee of citation.
